12 Hour Ladies Football Match for St Columba's Hospice Care

Amie Johnston is raising money for St Columba's Hospice Care

12 hour football match · 30 August 2026

St Columba’s exists to give everyone who needs it the very best Hospice Care. We provide support to patients and their families in our hospice facility and reach out to people in their homes and local communities. We couldn’t do it without our amazing supporters!

Story

On Sunday 30th August 2026, 20 women will take on an endurance football challenge unlike anything we’ve done before.

For 12 continuous hours, two teams will battle it out in a 7-a-side match from 8:00am until 8:00pm at South Queensferry Hub. With just 3 substitutes per team, every player will spend hours on the pitch, pushing through tired legs and fatigue to raise money for an incredible cause.

We’re raising funds for St Columba’s Hospice, whose compassionate care and support make a huge difference to people with life-limiting illnesses and their families across Edinburgh and the Lothians. We’re incredibly proud to support their work, and grateful that they’ve kindly provided our playing strips for the day.

Our aim is to raise at least £2,000, and every donation, no matter the size, will help St Columba’s Hospice continue providing outstanding care to those who need it most.

Whether you can donate, share our page or simply cheer us on, your support will help carry us through all 12 hours.

Huge thank you to KSQ football club who have kindly donated their facilities for the day to let us participate
