Every year, the World Health Organisation observes World Meningitis Day, to support their goal to defeat meningitis by 2030. This event is an important reminder of the impact that meningitis has on those affected.

For this year's edition of the event, on October 5, I will hold a bake sale in Riverside House, to raise funds for Meningitis Now. Meningitis Now is the leading charity in the UK raising awareness and funding research for meningitis. I will bake over 150 baked goods and all proceedings will go towards the initiatives carried out by Meningitis Now.
