Story
The University of Nottingham's Amnesty Society is campaigning and fundraising for 'Women's Empowerment and Dignity in Kenyan Slums'.
We want to achieve the goals of raising more awareness and educating those unaware of the specific challenges that women in Kenyan slums face, such as gender-based violence, femicide, and limited healthcare.
We are fundraising to support education programs and empowerment projects that provide women and girls with the skills and opportunities to overcome systematic barriers.
Amnesty International has an ongoing focus on gender equality and protection of women from violence and discrimination. With collaboration of the NGO and community-led group SHOFCO (Shining Hope for Communities) in Kenya, we can attempt to implement practical programs like education initiatives and skills training.
All donations will be donated between Amnesty International and SHOFCO!
