Amped for Awareness - In loving memory of Matthew Beatty

Charity Gig · 7 August 2025
In March of this year, I lost my brother, Matthew Beatty — a kind-hearted, funny, creative soul who battled with his mental health for many years. Despite the pain he carried, Matthew brought light and love into the lives of those around him. He had a rare gift for making people feel understood and valued.
Mental health challenges can be overwhelming and invisible. Like so many others, Matthew often suffered in silence — and it’s that silence we hope to break.
To honour Matthew’s life, and to raise awareness around the importance of looking after our mental health, I’ve organised a special event:
Amped For Awareness – In Loving Memory of Matthew Beatty
🗓 Date: 7th August at 8pm
📍 Venue: The Hole in the Wall, Armagh
🎵 What to Expect: A powerful night of live music, remembrance, and unity
💜 In Support Of: Action Mental Health Northern Ireland
This gig night is a celebration of Matthew’s life and a way to open up vital conversations about mental health. If this awareness can help even one person feel less alone or inspire someone to seek support, then Matthew’s legacy will be one of hope, courage, and compassion.
All donations are deeply appreciated and will go directly to Action Mental Health Northern Ireland, a charity doing incredible work to support people across the country.
Thank you for reading, for supporting, and for being part of this journey. Let’s come together, raise the volume, and shine a light — for Matthew, and for everyone still struggling in the dark.
Let’s get Amped for Awareness. 💙
