This September, we’re taking on the Beat the Gower Coast 21 mile hike round the Welsh coastline in memory of our lovely mum.

Our mum was incredibly passionate about life. She worked in the charity sector for over 25 years and whilst in retirement continued to work for many worthwhile causes.

Mum’s final days weren’t easy. Despite needing it, she wasn’t able to get a place in a hospice, and the end-of-life care she received in hospital fell very short of what she deserved. It’s something we will always carry with us but we want to do something positive for a deserving charity given Mum dedicated so many years helping others herself.

Marie Curie works to make sure no one has to face dying, death, or grief alone, and that everyone has access to the care and support they need at the end of life. They push for a better end of life for all by campaigning and sharing research to change the system. We’re walking 21 miles across the Gower Coast in her memory, so that other families can get the dignified, compassionate care that everyone deserves at the end of their life.

Every step will be for Mum. Every donation helps Marie Curie continue this vital work.
