Story
September is Blood cancer awareness month and I feel the itch to do something a bit foolish.
For the month of September I will be running the distance of x4 marathons, 168.8km in 30days.
Blood Cancer UK is a charity that is very close to my heart, having been diagnosed with stage 3B Hodgkins Lymphoma at 21 I feel honoured to have the opportunity to fundraise for them now, 12 years after receiving the amazing news I had gone into remission.
I am not a runner and have not done very much cardio over the last few years, I fully expect to be challenged mentally and physically for the upcoming 4 weeks. However, these challenges will barely touch those that people currently living with any forms of Blood Cancer are experiencing.
Any donations are very much appreciated and will keep me going as the runs get tougher! I will keep you all updated on the progress with regular updates via this page.
Thank you all 🧡🧡🧡
About Blood Cancer UK
We're a community dedicated to beating blood cancer. We do this by funding research and supporting those affected. Since 1960, we've invested over £500 million in blood cancer research, transforming treatments and saving lives. Right now, our community is funding 360 researchers and staff across the UK who are searching for the next breakthrough. The day we will beat blood cancer is now in sight and the researchers are determined to finish the job.
