I'm excited to take on the 328-kilometre Cork to Dublin Transaid Cycling Challenge from 24th to 28th September 2025!
Cycling has been a passion of mine for several years. I first started as a way to support my mental health - spending time outdoors, building a new social network, and staying active. This upcoming challenge will push my physical limits, but I am determined to complete it, not only to meet my personal goals but also to raise funds for a cause that I believe impacts so many people's lives.
I first learned about Transaid through my logistics career, and their work opened my eyes to how fortunate I am to live in a country where we have access to road safety measures and healthcare. Sadly, many people around the world continue to face these serious challenges. Through their initiatives, Transaid supports people in sub-Saharan Africa, where road accidents remain a leading cause of death, and many in rural areas struggle to reach life-saving healthcare.
The funds I raise will directly support Transaid’s vital initiatives, such as professional driver training and emergency transport schemes, which are making a real difference by saving lives.
I’m aiming to raise £1,750 for this cause, and I truly appreciate any support, big or small, as it will make a meaningful impact.
