I’m a puppeteer, writer and artist based in Lancashire. Bentley is a retired theatre puppet who constantly craves food and likes feeling important.

This month, Bentley and I have decided to do 2,900 squats to raise money for Teenage Cancer Trust. We saw the challenge advertised on Instagram several weeks ago, and mutually agreed to give it a shot!

(Okay, yes. Bentley required a bit more bribery — but that’s always easy enough with the help of some tasty treats.)

We want 2024 to bring us closer as a puppeteer and puppet, and as Bentley helps to get my arms into shape through his sheer heaviness, there’s no reason for him not to join in with getting my core into shape too!

We want to engage with as many people as we can whilst raising money for a fantastic charity, and helping to combat the difficulties that come alongside the onset of a serious illness.
