Why We're Walking
We are Walkaholics Anon, a team born from one heartfelt pub night where we decided that instead of just talking about doing something good.
We should actually do it.
We’re walking in honour of my sister, who has Down syndrome. An incredible human who inspires us every day with her strength, humour, and joy. She’s the kind of person who reminds you what really matters, and who can brighten a room faster than any pub could refill our glasses.
Somewhere between the toasts, the laughter, and the “this is definitely a great idea” moment, we made a promise.
So now we’re trading bar stools for blisters, pints for pavements, and hangovers for… well, probably another kind of ache. But it’s worth every step.
We’re raising money for the Down Syndrome Association — a charity that supports individuals and families in ways that truly matter. Every donation helps, and every bit of support keeps us moving (especially after the enthusiasm of that pub night wears off).
