Story
Running for Fleur and a More Inclusive World!
Earlier this year, our lives changed beautifully when my bright, wonderful 5-year-old daughter, Fleur, was diagnosed with autism.
Receiving a diagnosis is a huge milestone. It gave us the answers we needed to understand how Fleur experiences the world, but it also opened our eyes to how much support autistic children and their families truly need.
To celebrate Fleur and support the millions of autistic people in the UK, I am taking on the challenge of running a half marathon. I am raising vital funds for the National Autistic Society, the UK’s leading charity for autistic people and their families.
They provide life-changing support, guidance, and campaigns that ensure autistic individuals can lead fulfilling lives in a society that understands them.
Every single penny raised will go directly toward providing advice and support lines for parents navigating a new diagnosis. Funding specialist schools, social groups, and community projects. Campaigning for better public understanding and inclusion.
Fleur inspires me every single day with her unique perspective, resilience, and joy. Running 13.1 miles is a small hurdle compared to the daily challenges autistic individuals face in a world not always built for them. Please donate whatever you can to help me reach my target.
Your support means the world to our family, to Fleur, and to the entire autism community.
Thank you so much for your generosity and kindness!
