Dogs Trust is the largest dog welfare charity in the UK. We love all dogs, and the people who love dogs too. We care for dogs in need through our network of 22 centres across the UK and Ireland, finding them loving new homes. A dog is for Life, not just for Christmas ©

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

At Home & Hound, we already donate 10% of every broker fee to different dog charities, but we love a challenge and wanted to do something more!

Dan will be RUNNING our favourite dog walk, which is a 14km route in the Brecon Mountains for The Dogs Trust.

We will be taking on this challenge in memory of Tilly & Milo, who were both rescue dogs from The Dogs Trust. Both were given the most amazing second lives with their families, who miss them terribly.

Not only will Dan be taking on the running challenge, but we will also be holding a cake sale and Willow (Tilly's little human), will be making personalised bracelets to purchase for a donation.

We haven't set a target figure for the challenge, we'd just love to be able to raise as much as possible, whether that's through financial donations or blankets and toys.

If you'd like to donate an item rather than money, please let me know: amy.homeandhound@outlook.com

And if you're thinking of getting a dog, please consider a rescue dog!

MILO: part of the Dye Family. Milo was a German Shepard X Boxer who was rescued from Dogs Trust Merseyside in 2019. He was reactive to any other animal and his family spent years working with him so he could learn what it meant to be a dog. They hired solo fields for him, and did all the training under the sun and he ended up loving his muzzle. Over time he actually learned how to be a human more than a dog and gave the best snuggles! His favourite toy was a tennis ball and his fav meal was steak and eggs. He truly was Laura's best friend in the entire world. There will never be another Milo.

TILLY: part of the Marriner family. Tilly thought she was the mother of her human children, she adored them and they could do anything to her. She would protect her family and was forever loving and loyal. Tilly was full of love, happiness and energy. Her family were convinced that she could tell the time because she would bark when it was time for school. She loved adventures, she completed 2 of the 3 peaks, loved camping and snuggling up to her family.
