Lord's SleepOut · 27 February 2025 ·

On the 27th February 2025, we will be hosting a SleepOut Event at Lord's Cricket Ground, challenging participants to sleep outside, raising awareness for the issue of homelessness and fundraising for charities tackling these community issues.

Story

On the 27th February 2025, Amy, Suse, Ali, John, Jemima and Joey will be sleeping out at the Home of Cricket, Lord's Cricket Ground.

This is for a cause very close to our hearts, continuing the legacies of two great cricketing nuts - Amy's Dad, Nick, and his close friend Simon Prodger. Simon died unexpectedly in 2023, while Nick continues to contend with a terminal diagnosis of pancreatic cancer.

The money raised from this campaign will go towards the Gandon Prodger Legacy Fund, a charitable fund established to support the causes closest to both Simon and Nick's hearts.

The funds raised will ensure each of the four beneficiary charities of the Fund – The East Africa Character Development Trust, The Alsama Project, The Saracens Foundation and The Club Cricket Charity – can use the transformative power of sport to change the lives of those both in the UK and abroad, something that Simon and Nick championed throughout their lives.

To give you a sense of the Fund's purpose and impact, your donations will help to:

- ensure refugees who have fled persecution in Afghanistan, are able to play cricket in the UK;

- transform the lives of disadvantaged young Africans through sport and education;

- help young refugees in Lebanon gain the skills they need to thrive both on and off the cricket field; and

- support grassroots cricket by helping to resource community clubs across the country.

Thank you for anything you can spare. Also don't forget the gift aid!
