Story
Excessive procrastination, delay tactics & poor excuses lasted decades.
Now, encouraged by the Women’s Running podcast & Lisa Jackson but much more importantly inspired by running club friends, I’ve finally gone and blooming done it.
I’ve signed up to the Richmond marathon 14 September 2025.
My longest run to date has been 14 miles (& that was only Caroline’s ‘adventurous navigation’), so this will be a real challenge, but with support from family and friends, I hope to make it to both the start and the finish line.
Whilst a personal challenge and something I chose, and want, to do, the more people holding me to account the more chance I have of successfully completing it. Raising funds for a great charity at the same time will keep me inspired, accountable and motivated.

They do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future.
