Hello. I’m Amy. I’m running the 2027 London Marathon for the Oakleigh School, where I work as a Special School Nurse .

The school caters for children who have a wide range of Special Educational Needs / Disabilities (SEND) including physical disabilities, social difficulties and sensory impairments. All children at the school have a Education, Health and Care plan (EHCP) and require an adapted curriculum and high staff ratio to support their needs.

The money I raise will be used fund school minibuses. It would give the kids more opportunities to get out into the community, which is a vital part of their education, development and wellbeing.

I’m really excited about doing the race, but it is going to be really hard. I only started running in January 2025 and did my first half marathon in September. I’ll need all the motivation I can get to survive the long training runs over winter.
