Supporting children with terminal illness or life limiting conditions in Dorset

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

In January 2015, my Auntie and Uncle received the devastating news that my 7 year old Cousin, Lexi, had a DIPG brain tumour. It was terminal and Lexi was given just 9-12 months to live.

As a family we were heartbroken and we knew that we had to make as many memories as possible, so that Lexi’s Mum, Dad and Sisters would have those to cherish.

Over the next 12 months, everybody fundraised heavily, allowing those memories to be made. Nobody should ever be forced to make memories with their 7 year old Daughter, Sister, Niece, Cousin, Grandchild and Friend, but we were all so grateful to the charities that allowed us to do that.

On the 9th January 2016, aged 8, Lexi grew her wings, leaving a massive hole in our family. She touched so many hearts and to ensure that her legacy lived on, The Lexi May Trust was set up.

We treasure the memories that we were able to make, so now the trust does just that. Providing days out, vouchers, treasure boxes and much, much more to those with life limiting illnesses in and around Dorset. Your donation can help provide these memory making moments, creating smiles at the hardest of times.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart
