In November 2021, our family suffered absolute heartache when my beautiful niece decided that this world was not for her. She was only 17 years old. 

We are now doing all we can to turn this pain into purpose and prevent this tragedy happening to others. 

The girls at work spend most days walking to and from the supermarkets to get lunch so we’ve decided to change it up! We have come together to raise money for Papyrus and enter their walk 120k in May. Come rain or shine we have our walking shoes on and pounding the streets - giving us the opportunity to raise awareness and much needed funds for the national Charity for the Prevention of Young Suicide.  

Suicide is the biggest killer of young people under the age of 35 in the UK, in 2018 over 1800 young people took their own lives. PAPYRUS provides confidential support and advice to young people struggling with thoughts of suicide, and anyone worried about a young person through their helpline, HOPELINEUK.
