I am Fundraising to spread awareness of dementia and make people realise that this awful disease can hit from as young as 24, from my own personal experience I have lost my boys father to frontal lobe dementia in August 24, he started showing signs of confusion, depression at the start of 2020 and from then it grew progressively worse.

Myself and Dayle were together for 10 years before this and we had two gorgeous boys who are now 8&9.This will be my first fundraiser and I want to show the boys that we can keep his memory alive and still live a long and healthy life.

We are YPWD and our charity provides support services throughout the working week to people with dementia who are diagnosed under the age of 65. We support families from as early as in their 30’s, who never could have foreseen that they would be living with a progressive disease so early on in their lives. Our charity provides a safe and fun environment, reducing loneliness, promoting confidence, boosting mood and offering a helping hand to not just the person with dementia, but their loved ones who are coming to terms with the illness.
