Here we go again! A new year means it’s time for a new challenge. On Sunday 11th May, I’ll be running the Bristol Half Marathon to honour our baby girl, Indie, and all the babies taken too soon. I’m raising money for Sands, the stillbirth and neonatal death charity, who were there for us when we needed them the most. Sands provides vital grief support, works to improve care for families like ours, and funds research to reduce the number of babies we lose.

Losing a baby is something that’s impossible to put into words, but in the UK, 15 families go through this heartbreak every single day. That’s 15 families shattered, just like we were.

Every donation will help Sands continue their amazing work and make a real difference for families like ours. Thank you for your support and for helping me raise money in memory of our beautiful Indie.

Our Story

On 30th August 2022, we were full of excitement, ready to welcome our baby girl, Indie. After a smooth pregnancy and what seemed like a perfect labour, our world completely flipped when a complication took away her oxygen. Despite everything, our little fighter’s heart kept beating after 45 minutes of resuscitation, giving us precious time with her. Indie gave us 26 incredible hours before peacefully passing away in our arms on 1st September 2022.

The support we got from Sands meant everything. They helped us create memories we’ll cherish forever, from photos and hand & foot casts to the advice and comfort from our bereavement midwife. Sands made sure we were taken care of during the most painful time of our lives.
