Story
A group of home educating families have come together to complete the East Anglian Air Ambulance Challenge Badge. The children have to complete various tasks to earn their badges, learning vital CPR skills along the way including what a defibrillator is and how to use one, aswell as the amazing work that this charity does!
They will also be walking from Hunstanton to Thornham and hopefully all being well Thornham to Burnham Deepdale to help raise more funds for this amazing cause!
Every year approximately 12,000 people suffer a cardiac arrest in the East of England. Only about 40% of those receive any form of bystander cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) before the arrival of the emergency services. Less than 20% have a defibrillator deployed before emergency services arrive.
Whatever our age, we all have our part to play in accident prevention and understanding how to help others in a medical emergency.
This is why we are raising money both individually and as a group to provide some much needed funds for this wonderful charity!
