It is with incredible sadness I have to let you know that my wonderful husband and best friend Darrell died in the early hours of Saturday morning, 25/1/25. He fought until the very end, the rain pouring outside, but when morning came, the sun shone brightly, as if to remind us of the positivity and hope with which he always approached life, and his illness. I know this will form a huge part of his legacy, along with the love we shared with each other and with our children (the last thing he said to each of us was I love you), the work he had been doing on behalf of Sarcoma UK to raise awareness and funds for more research and earlier diagnoses for this rare cancer including writing his book, Straight Red?, and his overall joy for life, making the most of each and every moment. We are taking some time together as a family, so please understand if I can't respond to messages right now, but I want to thank you for your incredible support for Darrell, Maya, Theo and me - please know this has given us, and continues to give us, invaluable strength and courage over this most challenging period for us all.
