Story
Last year we lost our wonderful Nan, Rona Smith, to dementia after years of deterioration. Nan was a ‘strong old bird’ as she would have said herself but dementia is a cruel disease that slowly took the Nan we knew and loved away. Like it has to so many others.
On the 21st September I will be completing an 18 mile hike along the world famous coastal path in Dorset’s Jurassic Coast, putting one step forward for dementia research. In memory of our Nan and in the hope of helping future generations.
Alzheimer’s Research UK works towards revolutionising the way we treat, diagnose and prevent dementia. They exist for a cure.
