Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Our daughter Jasmine suffered acute liver failure at just five years old. We discovered she had been suffering a very rare genetic disease that stopped her liver from functioning as it should. Jasmine required a transplant.
Jasmine received the most extraordinary care from the teams at Kings College Hospital in London. She continues to benefit from their care.
We are attending the British Transplant Games this year held in Sheffield. The event brings together transplant recipients to celebrate in the joy of competition. Jasmine will compete in events on the Kings College Hospital children's team and meet other transplant recipients from all over the British Isles representing their hospital.
Kings is a world leading centre of excellence for liver treatment and care. In the year Jasmine received her transplant Kings had conducted 55 paediatric liver transplants. Last year, a record breaking 277 were conducted across adults and children. The research and work they conduct is in part made possible by the generosity of donations to the Kings College Hospital Trust. Please make a donation to help continue their excellent work.
