Story
In 2026, I’ll be running the Great North Run in memory of my wonderful Gran, who sadly passed away from terminal cancer on the 14th of December 2025 at Marie Curie Bradford. She is greatly missed every single day, and this run is my way of honouring her strength, love, and the incredible care she received in her final days.
I’m running not only for my Gran, but to help Marie Curie continue supporting families who are facing the most difficult times imaginable. The care they provide means so much, and any donation — no matter how small — can make a real difference to so many families going through loss and heartbreak.
Thank you so much for reading, for supporting me, and for helping keep my Gran’s memory alive 🤍
Marie Curie is here for anyone with an illness they’re likely to die from, and those close to them. Whatever the illness, wherever you are, we’re with you to the end. We bring 75 years of experience and leading research to the care we give you at home, in our hospices and over the phone. And we push for a better end of life for all by campaigning and sharing research to change the system.
Marie Curie is a charity working across the UK and we need your support to do our vital work.
