Story
Hi. Amy here. Firstly, thanks for even clicking on this link 🙏, it is so much appreciated.
In July 2023, my dearest mum and best friend, Elaine ❤️, who seemed perfectly fine one minute, suddenly started having trouble with her balance and could barely stay awake. To cut a long story short, and within a very short space of time, we received the unbelievable news that she had a Glioblastoma grade IV and had weeks-couple of mths left to live 😢. I was fortunately in a position to move back to the family home to help care for her alongside my family till she sadly passed away in the October of 2023. That traumatic time will forever stay with me and learning as we did that there is SO LITTLE money going towards helping treatment and research in to brain tumours (specifically) is so unbelievably heartbreaking, especially after seeing firsthand how people suffer.
This leads me to today and why I have decided to sign myself up to run the half marathon in London on October 12th (😬). I would be sooo grateful (I appreciate times are hard for everyone) if you could spare even just £5 to sponsor me.. that would be absolutely wonderful as it honestly is going towards the worthiest cause.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and a BIG thank you if you are able to donate anything you can.
For you mum.. I love you and miss you beyond more than you could ever know 💔 ❤️.
Better get my trainers on…
Amy 🏃🏼♀️💨🥴😬❤️
