Every three minutes, dementia steals away a happily ever after. Eight years ago, this cruel reality became a part of my life when my incredible father was diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimer's.

My dad led a wonderful life, raising four children, adoring his wife, and had a career in the sport he loved - football. However, Alzheimer's began to slowly strip away his essence, bit by bit. The emotional toll we experience at every stage of this relentless disease is heart-wrenching. We grieve each time it takes a piece of dad away from us.
