The Wakefield Trinity Community Foundation is inviting sponsors, partners and members of the Wakefield Community to come together to walk from Wakefield Trinity's DIY Kitchens Stadium to Castleford’s The Jungle Stadium ahead of their local derby clash on Friday 5th September 2025.

Hey everyone ☺️ I’ve now signed up for the Walk with Wakey, an 8.2 mile walk from Wakefield to Castleford, on the day of the fixture at The Jungle, in two months time. I’m raising money for the Wakefield Trinity Community Foundation, specifically for the Wakefield Children’s Bed Appeal. As it stands, 6000 children are without a bed in Wakefield, so I’m raising money to desperately try and bring that statistic as far down as possible. £200 buys a child a bed, a mattress, bedding, a pillow, and a set of pyjamas. It would be amazing to raise as close to £200 as possible to know I would be playing a small part in changing a child’s life.

I appreciate times are tough, and cost of living is high, but if you could spare anything at all, or even just share my post, it would go a long way.
