We are back for this year's Big PADS Push! Join us for our virtual sponsored walk to help raise awareness and funds.

Story

I am taking part in the Big PADS Push to help raise funds to help Down Syndrome UK reach more expectant and new parents of a child with Down syndrome to provide support and resources to help their little one flourish and thrive.

As many of you know, my beautiful niece, Rue, was born this year with an at-birth diagnosis of Downs Syndrome and we are now part of the lucky few. She is the absolute light of our lives and has taught us what real love, strength and light is but in 4 short months we’ve had quite the journey of shock, learning and adapting to ensure we can help her thrive in every way possible.

October is Downs Syndrome Awareness Month and we are joining the Big PADS Push Challenge - because it’s something her big cousins (our littles) can do too and we want them to always be a face and voice for this important cause to empower those like our beautiful baby girl and to help raise money for this amazing charity. It’s a 2.1 mile walk to celebrate the extra 21 chromosome our beautiful Rue was gifted with.

Down’s Syndrome UK is an incredible source of information, reassurance, and support. They work tirelessly to provide resources, connect families, and create awareness so that children like Rue are celebrated, included, and given every opportunity to thrive.

We are raising funds in her honour to support the work of Down’s Syndrome UK. Every donation, no matter the size, helps ensure that families like ours never feel alone, and that children like Rue grow up in a world that sees their value and potential.

Please donate if you can, and help us spread the word by sharing this page. Together, we can make a difference for her and for so many others.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. 💛💙
