Wing walk fundraiser for Alfie's Squad

On, Saturday 22nd August I will be doing a Wing walk to raise money for Alfie's Squad.

Alfie's Squad supports children, young people and their families who have been bereaved by suicide.

At the young age of 8 years old Alfie had sadly lost his dad to suicide in 2017. Alfie had wanted to meet children who had been through what he had been through and in recognition of the lack of support Alfie decided to do something about it and so Alfie's Squad was set up.

Launched in 2023 in Liverpool, Alfie's Squad is still the only charity providing free face-to-face peer support for children and young people aged 6-17, and their families who have lost a loved one to suicide. Last October, a Squad was set up in Bolton and families can also access a national online group.

Alfie's Squad aims to take the service to more locations and help reach even more families navigating their loss, ensuring children and young people can build friendships and confidence alongside others who understood.
