Cutting and donating my hair · 10 May 2025

The Little Princess Trust provides real hair wigs, free of charge, to children and young people who have lost their own hair through cancer treatment or to other conditions. The charity is also one of the largest funders of childhood cancer research in the UK.

Story

I have always had long hair (in the main photo it's down to the middle of my back) and I will be cutting it off to donate to charity, Little Princess Trust, to make a wig for a child or young person who is suffering with hair loss (be it cancer or alopecia). I don't have any personal experience with the charity but I do have personal experience with family members suffering with cancer. Both my Dad and my Step Dad passed away from cancer of the abdomen and the thought of someone so young losing their hair is heartbreaking (be it cancer or other reasons). So on the 10th of May, my Step Dads 4th Anniversary, I will be cutting my hair into a short pixie cut (think Penny, big bang theory series 8, but with a longer fringe). I had heard of Little Princess Trust last year and have been growing my hair longer for this reason. And then I learnt of the financial aspect of it all. So I thought I would try to help raise some money along the way. Thank you very much if you can afford to donate, I am so very grateful and I know the Little Princess Trust will be too.

P.s I will update you all when I've had my hair cut and to show off the results. Thank you again
