I'm completing the Edinburgh Half Marathon this year to raise money for MND Scotland. This is a charity close to my heart, as my dad Bill was diagnosed with MND in October 2024. It's been a difficult time for our family but I've been inspired by the strength of my dad, my brother and my mum, who has given up full time work to care for my dad 24/7.

MND is a terminal illness, which eats away the muscles in the body until you can no longer walk, talk, and eventually breathe. There is no cure at the moment, and average life expectancy is currently at around 3 years from diagnosis.

MND Scotland is the only Scottish charity providing care and support to people affected by Motor Neuron Disease (MND), as well as funding research to take us a step closer to a cure. MND
