Story
In April 2027, I will be taking on the challenge of running the London Landmarks Half Marathon 2027 in support of Alzheimer’s Research UK. I am doing it in memory of my grandma Norma Brannan.
Over the 8 years that Norma lived with Alzheimer’s, our family experienced the painful reality of watching someone we loved and knew so well, slowly change into someone we no longer recognised. Alzheimer’s is a condition that affects not only the person living with it, but also the family and friends around them.
In the UK, around 1 million people are living with Alzheimer’s, and that number is expected to rise to 1.4 million by 2040. This makes it more important than ever to support vital work that can help people affected by this disease.
I am aiming to raise £500 in grandmas memory, and to ultimately find a cure. I would be so grateful for any donation you can give, if you choose to do so.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story and for considering a donation to my page.
