Story
Open water swimming season is upon us and I have some epic swims planned. I'm putting all my training to good use, raising money for Level Water, an inspiring charity that harnesses the transformative power of swimming to improve lives for children with disabilities. Every child deserves the chance to learn to swim and experience the joy of being in water, regardless of their challenges.
On 28 June, I'm embarking on an incredible challenge with two swim buddies, taking on the 24-hour Wild Swim Relay at Trifarm in Essex. This challenge is not just about swimming; it’s about pushing our limits and embracing the power of water. We will each be swimming for 8 hours and we’ll even be swimming through the night! Our mantra will be simple: Swim. Sleep. Eat. Repeat.
The relay is part of our training plan for a 24km swimming adventure in Finland in July, but we think the relay will actually be much tougher!
Then, to end the season and celebrate my 40th birthday, on 10 October I’m swimming 10km UP the tempestuous Afon Mawddach at the Hurly Burly.
I have set a target of £500 to support this vital cause, and I need your help to make it happen! Your generous contributions will enable Level Water to continue their amazing work, providing opportunities for children to thrive in the water. Join us in making a difference—every donation counts and brings us one step closer to our goal!
