Amy, Caitlin and Sarah's fundraiser for SwimTayka

Great North Swim - 2miles - 7th June 2024 and Sponsored Swims - Swimming the Length and Width of Bali
Swim Tayka is on a mission to make a difference in the lives of underprivileged children who live along the earth's open water: rivers, lakes, and oceans. These children spend their lives in close proximity to water, yet most of them cannot swim. It's a heartbreaking reality that we aim to change.
In July, a dedicated team consisting of Amy, Caitlin, and Sarah will be heading to Bali, Indonesia. Their goal? To provide free swimming lessons and environmental education about clean water stewardship to these deserving children. By teaching them water safety and essential swimming skills, we hope to empower them with the knowledge they need to stay safe in the water.
But that's not all. Amy has an incredible opportunity to train up some of the locals as swimming teachers. This will enable them to continue the fantastic work that Swim Tayka and SwimDo have started, setting up their own swimming programs and making an even bigger impact.
Drowning is a silent epidemic that claims an estimated 360,000 lives every year, many of them innocent children. It's the third leading cause of unintentional injury death worldwide. These are wasted lives and preventable deaths that we simply cannot ignore.
We are determined to bring these numbers down and save lives. But we can't do it alone. We need your help!
By supporting our fundraising campaign for "Bali, Indonesia Volunteering 2024," you'll be contributing directly towards our efforts in providing free swimming lessons and environmental education to underprivileged children in Bali. Your donation will help us reach our target amount of £3,600.
Join us in making a difference today! Together, we can create a safer future for these children.
