I'm fundraising for Barts Charity to show my gratitude to the staff at St Bart's Hospital in London. In June of this year, my Dad Gary was admitted to a local hospital and quickly rushed to Barts via the ACCESS team. He spent six weeks in ICU and the team supporting him were absolutely phenomenal.

Without a doubt, the team on Ward 6A saved my Dad's life.

He received the most incredible care, including one to one nurses for six weeks straight, day and night. He saw some of the best specialists I the country, who pushed for the best treatment and care he could receive. My family and I were also assigned a family liaison nurse, who kept us in the loop and explained everything to us. This is standard for ICU patient's families at Bart's, which amazed us! I can never repay the staff at Bart's for what they did for my Dad and my family, but this is a start :)
