Story
We're a group of students at the University of Strathclyde raising money for Anthony Nolan, the blood cancer charity. As part of this, we've organised a pub quiz at Strath Union's 'The Venue' on 11th November (@8pm) so join us to raise money for a fantastic cause all while having a great time!
We've partnered with Glasgow Marrow to ensure that the money we raise goes directly to Anthony Nolan to continue to fund their lifesaving work.
Glasgow Marrow is a part of the network of lifesaving students who work with the blood cancer charity, Anthony Nolan. There are over 50 Marrow groups, with hundreds of student volunteers (like us!) in universities across the country, who are all working towards one thing - saving the lives of people with blood cancer.
Every 13 minutes someone in the UK is diagnosed with blood cancer. For someone with blood cancer, a stem cell transplant could be their last chance of survival. At Anthony Nolan, we match incredible people willing to donate their stem cells, to people with blood cancer who are in desperate need of a lifesaving transplant.
