I'm running the 2024 London Marathon in support of Spinal Research UK!

Having experienced an injury to my spine a few years ago, I know that results often lead to a general loss of strength, function and emotional wellbeing. For many, these results are permanent.

With ongoing research around the world, scientists are optimistic about the advancements in spinal research, and that repair for spinal cord injuries will soon be possible. Spinal Research UK is one of the world's leading charities funding medical research to develop effective treatments for paralysis.

Having grown up a multi-sport athlete, it's incredibly saddening to be told to stop doing something you love. It took almost two years to properly tie up my shoes, and it’s a freedom I’ll never again take for granted. Call it an act of rebellion. (Kilometre 40 will definitely get me for the tough girl comment). Getting the ice bath ready now.
