In April, my best friend Verity and I are taking on the London Landmarks Half Marathon — a huge challenge for us both! Neither of us are seasoned runners, so this is about pushing ourselves outside of our comfort zones, putting in the training, and proving we can achieve something we never thought we’d be able to do.

We’re doing it to support a cause that means a lot to me and my family: Cats Protection. If you know us, you’ll know we’re a family of cat lovers — and a lot of our cats are rescues. Every one of them has brought so much love, comfort and laughter into our lives, and it’s really important to us that charities like Cats Protection are there to give other cats the same chance at a happy life.

Cats Protection is the UK’s leading cat welfare charity. They help more cats than any other organisation — finding homes for unwanted and abandoned cats, helping with neutering to prevent unwanted litters, and speaking up for cats so they’re treated with the kindness and respect they deserve.

Life is simply better with cats, and we want to make sure as many cats as possible get the second chance they need. By supporting us, you’ll not only be helping us achieve a personal challenge, but you’ll also be helping Cats Protection continue their amazing work.
