Story

This is me and my beautiful friend Jane who I’ve known for 50 years Vibrant, fun loving, gorgeous, friendly, intelligent and just full of life are some of the words that describe Jane.

Jane is ex cabin crew for BA and also taught at Northbrook College in Worthing.

Sadly, in March 2023, Jane received the devastating news she had Motor Neurone Disease. This is the most brutal and cruel illness and doesn’t discriminate. In a short time Jane lost the ability to eat, drink, walk and speak. MND took her whole independence away and left her reliant on others to care for her.

Heartbreakingly, her two children Tilly and Harry and her husband Richard have had to witness this terrible decline and sadly, on 25th January this year, Jane passed away.

I am taking part in the Worthing 10K to raise funds for MNDA, a charity that raises much needed funds for research in order to better understand and hopefully find a cure for this awful disease.

Anything you can spare for MNDA would be greatly appreciated. Instead of buying a last glass of wine on a Friday, why not use that money to donate?

Thankyou for taking the time to read Jane’s story and if you can, please donate.

MND, we’re coming for you.
