Event: Kilimanjaro Climb for The Good Grief Project, from 10 October 2023 to 21 October 2023
An intrepid team of Good Grief supporters will attempt to climb Mt.Kilimanjaro - 10th October 2023. All funds go directly to helping bereaved parents or siblings discover new and creative ways of expressing their grief.

Story

This has been in the making for 3 years! A pandemic and a few other minor matters have stopped it happening until now - October 2023. I'm climbing with an amazing bunch of humans all of whom are committed to busting our fundraising targets to help improve the emotional health of those who really need it most. Read on to find out more.

One of the toughest but possibly the most exhilarating adventures we will ever embark upon. At a colossal 5,895 metres Kilimanjaro in East Africa is one of the largest volcanoes ever to break through the earths crust. Our challenge is to climb above the sea of clouds to reach the summit.

All money we raise will help bereaved families on low incomes attend one of The Good Grief Projects Active Grief Weekends. These residential retreats are especially designed to support bereaved parents and siblings who have experienced the death of a child (of any age). The aim is to help them find new and creative ways of expressing their grief.

The Good Grief Project organizes 3 weekends annually, each one costing around £14,000 and although some parents can contribute to the cost (usually £250-£350 a head) we want them to be available to everyone, especially those on low incomes. Thank you so much for your support.

Please note I am fully self-funding so every penny I raise goes to The Good Grief Project.
