One More City is an annual charity cycling campaign raising funds for research into secondary breast cancer, founded in 2017 by Christine O’Connell, who was diagnosed with secondary breast cancer. It has raised more than £700,000, funding four PhD students in London and research projects in San Francisco, New York and Melbourne. The 2026 ride launches a new three-year, £300,000 campaign for Dr Gonzalo Torga’s research at the Institute of Cancer Research, investigating why some breast cancers resist targeted treatment and whether a vaccine could help overcome that resistance.

It's an absolute privilege and humbling to be riding again for this very inspirational charity, where many of the riders have had breast cancer themselves or known close family members who have had breast cancer. We likely all know someone close affected, I do.

THE 2026 RIDE looks even more challenging than last year with 40 of us covering 575 kilometres and 9,000 metres of climbing through the Alpes-Maritimes, Alpes-de-Haute-Provence, Vaucluse, Gard and Hérault including the mighty Ventoux!

I know many of you sponsored me last year and it's a big ask to sponsor again, but I want to cast the net as wide as possible to raise money for this compelling charity that directly funds research staff.
