Every Step This year, will you take on a challenge? Whatever pushes you out of your comfort zone, be it a physical or mental challenge…you choose the activity, you choose the date!

Story

As I start my 60th year I have decided to challenge myself and raise some cash for the Caritas Salford and hopefully you will help me.

I am not a serious cyclist so an 800 KM ride will be a challenge. I have borrowed my neighbour’s bike (thanks Martin) which I will be using from Salinas on the Green Coast in Northern Spain to Praia del Rey on the Silver Coast in Portugal.

. c.850km

• Gain higher than Mt Everest c. 10,000 m

• The route crosses the Cantabrian Mountains, the Duro Valley and the Sierra da Estrella which has Portugals highest mountain of c 2,000m

• Temperatures c 30 Degrees – HOT!

• 100% of your donation will go to the Charity

I start on Saturday 21st June hoping to end on Saturday the 28th.

We provide a practical response to those in crisis, suffering hardship or at risk. We work alongside people to rebuild their lives for the long-term, enabling people to live in a safe, healthy and secure environment. We call for a better, more just world, where the voices of people experiencing poverty are heard and acted upon, and we positively influence the systems, decisions and resources that affect those in need.
