My 2025 challenge is to complete the canal slam, incorporating 3 canal runs in 4 months. First off is the 145 mile grand union canal run in May, followed by the 145 mile Kennet & Avon canal run in July and finishing with the 130 mile Liverpool Leeds canal run in August. It’s a long shot but I have my eye on the prize !

My chosen charity for these events is chosen by my wife’s Aunty (Tina) who some of you will know was diagnosed with a high grade glioma (brain tumour) recently and after surgery is now undergoing further chemo treatment.

The outcome of these events is typically determined by mental strength and positivity, it seems fitting that Tina has bucket loads so I’m hoping to borrow some !

All going well after the first event I will continue to raise money throughout each event and I’m hoping for match funding from my company, Tokio Marine HCC
