Story
I’m taking on two major charity challenges to raise money for The Light Fund.
About The Light Fund
The Light Fund is a charity that funds practical, high-impact projects supporting children, women and men. Since 2004, it has raised over £2.6 million for 200+ charities and good causes. In 2025 alone, The Light Fund raised £282,000 and supported 51 charities, funding everything from life-saving neonatal equipment and cancer support services, to mental health helplines, emergency disaster relief, and community projects that protect and empower young people.
My challenges
To help raise as much as possible, I’m committing to two serious endurance adventures:
Mount Toubkal (February 2026)
North Africa’s highest peak. This is a fast, demanding climb where altitude, cold temperatures, and steep terrain make it a real physical and mental test. It is not just a hike, it is a proper mountain ascent that requires structured training and grit on the day.
Everest Base Camp (Spring 2027)
A bucket-list trek with a big sting in the tail. This is a multi-day expedition at high altitude, covering long distances day after day, with less oxygen, tough weather conditions, and the need to stay healthy and consistent for the full journey. It’s as much about resilience and recovery as it is about fitness.
How you can help
If you can donate, it would mean a lot. Every pound goes towards funding projects that make a tangible difference - and it’ll keep me accountable through the training, early mornings, and aching legs.
Thank you for your support.
