Minden Tour de Detachments · 12 July 2023

We provide vital funds to help young people learn new skills, build confidence and be inspired through their ACF experience. Our grants programmes support thousands of Army Cadets and ACF Adult Volunteers to access activities and development opportunities that make a positive impact for life.

Story

On Wednesday 12th July 2023, I will be cycling 116km (72 miles) for ACCT UK (Army Cadet Charitable Trust UK).

I ask for any value donations and will be gratefully received.

For those that know me, I have been part of the Army Cadet Force for 21 years, the last 15 years I have been an instructor. In all this time I have been very priviledged to not require fiancial assistance for ACF activities, but have met many cadets who have struggled to go on camps, attend extra activities like Sports, Adventurous Training or Shooting, or simply unable to regularly attend the weekly parade nights due to financial reasons. The ACCT UK (Army Cadet Charitable Trust UK) helps support individual cadets, but also groups of cadets by providing funding for essential equipment to support ACF activities.

We believe that by supporting young people in the UK to access the ACF, we can help to develop their physical, mental and social skills to give them the best possible start in life and help them achieve their life ambitions. We also value ACF volunteers and are committed to developing their youth leadership and training abilities.
