Story
Urgent Note. Due to the lift on the tower failing on the morning of the event, this has been postponed. A new date will be confirmed ASAP. Thank you so much for all of your support. I will do this.
I am proud to be a Trustee of The Luca Foundation and every penny raised from this ridiculous idea of mine will go directly to the charity.
Anyone who knows me will know that heights and I are not natural friends. That's exactly why, on 17th October, I'm taking on a 418ft abseil down Northampton Lift Tower to raise money for The Luca Foundation.
Every donation, no matter how small, will help support the incredible work the charity does. Please help me turn a moment of sheer terror into something genuinely positive.
The Luca Foundation's mission is simple but incredibly important. We help ensure that bereaved parents are given extra time with their child to say goodbye over days rather than hours. This precious "gift of time" is only possible through the availability of specialist cold cuddle cots.
The Luca Foundation actively works to ensure that fully functioning cuddle cots are available in maternity units, neonatal intensive care units and paediatric wards across the UK.
Unlike many organisations, The Luca Foundation does not use donations to pay salaries. Every pound raised goes directly towards supporting families and providing this vital equipment.
Whilst cuddle cots are not classified by the Government as essential medical equipment, we believe they are absolutely essential for families facing the unimaginable. That's why we're committed to making sure they are available wherever they are needed.
So, if you'd like to see me face one of my biggest fears for a fantastic cause, I'd be incredibly grateful for your support.
Thank you.
