Story
Nearly 1 in 2 people will get cancer in their lifetime, which means it's likely affected someone close to all of us. I've seen cancer affect friends and family over the last few years, and I've been left feeling there's so little I can do to help. So I’m running the Royal Parks Half marathon to raise money for Cancer Research UK’s life-saving work.
I picked Cancer Research UK deliberately as 78p in every pound goes toward beating cancer. Their research runs on donations, and last year £403m went into it, funded by people doing things like this. They're targeting 3 in 4 people surviving by 2034.
Every donation makes a difference:
£30 - ten of us doing that funds a clinical trial for a day
£50 - eight people at that level buys a research tool
£100 - pays for a patient's biopsy to be analysed
Please sponsor me and help to power pioneering research (and tick Gift Aid if you're a UK taxpayer as it adds 25% and costs you nothing!)
