CASK gene mutations lead to serious neurological disorders where children often can't talk, walk or even play. 40% have epilepsy and some require feeding tubes. Our organisation supports families and raises money to fund vital research into this catastrophic disease.

Story

The arrival of our 2 Great-nieces (Iris and Evie) brought great joy to both Eileen and I. We loved visiting and keeping up to date with their adventures and achievements through texts and letters and were always very proud to share photos and videos.

Evie was born with a rare genetic disorder caused by a mutation of the CASK gene. It is unclear as yet exactly how this will impact her development and what this will mean for the future. For now it is a case of waiting and seeing. The best way to help Evie and others like her is through research and providing a support network for the families of those affected. Now that Eileen is no longer with us, having this page dedicated to her memory is a way in which she can continue to help her nieces and give hope to all those living with CASK

Donations instead of flowers will be greatly received by the CASK Research Foundation to :-
