On the 5th May 2024, I will be running the Birmingham Half Marathon to support Solihull Hospital Charity.

Solihull Hospital provides specialist care for older people, elective surgery, dermatology, ophthalmology, rheumatology, community services and minor injuries services. It is also home to the Solihull Haematology and Oncology Day Unit.

During 2023:

* 265, 263 outpatient appointments attended

* 8,235 operations

* 4,462 people started treatment for cancer

* 7,148 attended the Urgent Treatment Centre ( since 28 June 2023)

The aim of the charity is to fund items that are ‘over and above’ that which the NHS can fund, such as advancements in life saving equipment, staff posts, research and items that enhance patients’ stays whilst they are in hospital.
