Story
I'm excited to be running the London Landmarks Half Marathon in April 2025 in aid of award-winning West Kent charity Baby Umbrella. Baby Umbrella provides free breastfeeding and early parenting support. This work is so important for new parents and this charity was a total lifesaver to us Corbetts in the early months.
To give you an extra incentive, I’m pledging to run dressed as a giant boob if I can beat my £500 target!
You might not know that Arty had a severe tongue tie when he was born and wouldn't feed properly and we really struggled to find support elsewhere. It was a really worrying time and as brand new parents we didn't know where to turn. Thankfully a friend told me about Baby Umbrella and we received free support from one of their lovely and super knowledgeable practitioners. With a little support our problems soon turned around and I'm so happy to say that we were able to feed for as long as we wanted.
For too many families, this support is not available and I'm raising money for Baby Umbrella so they can continue to provide free, compassionate and evidence-based support for all families who need it.
Baby Umbrella receives no government funding to provide this crucial service and relies totally on donations - please be generous! Just £30 could support a local family like us to receive the support they need.
