Our amazing Chester Half Marathon Team are aiming to raise an incredible £150 each to help the Hospice of the Good Shepherd provide their exceptional care every day!

Story

My wife, Silvia, and I are running the Chester Half Marathon in memory of my Dad raising money for The Hospice of the Good Shepherd.

The Hospice provides palliative care for cancer patients and others with life limiting conditions. They looked after Dad when he was in his darkest days and were very kind to all of us when we were struggling to cope. As below they rely on local fundraising for most of their running costs so any contributions to help them carry on with their good works will be much appreciated. Thank you.

The Hospice of the Good Shepherd provides its services free of charge to its patients and costs £5.1million to run each year with just 20% of the funding received coming from statutory sources. The remaining 80% is raised from a range of fundraising activities and the support of the generous local community in Cheshire. In addition, they raise money through their local charity shops and weekly lottery.
